Back To Heaven
Status: Completed
Back to Heaven features weekend homes sitting on the picturesque lakeside of Chansad Village, the birthplace of Shri Pramukh Swami Maharaj. These homes offer the serene village-like life to the residents with a traditional design that complements the natural surroundings. The cottages are planned according to vastu-shastra and also house a mezzanine floor for additional space in an innovative manner. These cottage are made environment-friendly and climate responsive with the use of natural materials. The respective areas inside the cottages are justified with multi-purpose furniture and contemporary facilities offered in a traditional way. The ‘green’ roof reduces the temperature inside and keeps the space cool and comfortable. Each cottage consists of a deck, a casual spill-out space and a barbeque kota stone seating to allow spending family time with friends and family. The common spaces consist of a canteen and a swimming pool overlooking the lakeside. The material used in the construction of the swimming pool exudes the warmth of a village. To give back to the society, about 40% of the site is landscaped and revived by tree plantation.
Entering into the Back to Heaven campus, seen here is the canteen done in earthen materials – a simple in design with ample semi-covered varendah for joyful gatherings.
Specially crafted at site by the artisans from Katch, these logs acting as columns are intricate & unique. Also designed are the charpoys for a complete village feel.
