The first retail shop we did as professionals, Shiv- a kitchen and hardware showroom, was a rather full of experiments in design. We tried using curves here to give the interiors an impactful design. We designed furniture in a half curve, which visually got completed by the use of mirrors.
A corner of the store with mirrors on adjacent walls, makes it look four times bigger. By physically making only a quarter of the curve, the overall image looks like a boat installation.
